Arts Integration Institute

Graduate & Professional

Arts integration is an inquiry-based, cross-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning that links the arts with other academic subjects.

Program Overview

Courses for teachers and teaching artists!

Our arts integration courses use inquiry-based, cross-disciplinary approaches to teaching and learning that link the arts with other academic subjects. Pedagogically arts integrated courses advance collaboration and communication skills for learners and create integrated learning experiences. Arts integration has been recognized as an especially effective method for engaging a wide range of students: advanced placement students, second language learners, students with moderate disabilities, and those who are otherwise disengaged. Arts integration methods provide the opportunity for students to connect by co-creating culturally relevant content and getting students excited and engaged with learning.

The institute can also be customized for groups with specific needs and goals.
